Johnathan Johannes πŸ‡±πŸ‡¨

Johnathan Johannes is a Caribbean business leader, author, and leadership thinker known for challenging traditional management thinking and championing cultures built on trust, accountability, and authenticity. With a career spanning senior leadership roles in banking, retail, and financial services, he has led organizations through crisis, transformation, and growth while questioning the leadership scripts many institutions still rely on.

Johnathan is the author of the award-winning book The Exception Code: How to Make Culture, Retention, and Customer Loyalty Profitable by Leading Like No One Else, which explores why many leadership models fail under pressure and what it takes to build organizations that perform because of their culture, not in spite of it.

His work focuses on helping leaders rethink inherited assumptions about authority, culture, and performance. Rather than viewing disruption as chaos, he frames it as an opportunity to rebuild leadership around courage, clarity, and human-centered accountability.

A former Managing Director of Saint Lucia’s first indigenous bank and now Managing Director for Unicomer in the OECS, Johnathan brings lived experience from boardrooms, crises, and institutional change to every conversation about leadership.

Through his writing and speaking, he continues to challenge leaders across the Caribbean and beyond to lead differently, think independently, and build institutions that outlast individual personalities.
