Dr. Marissa Toussaint, author of Flambeau Kitchen, grew up in Trinidad & Tobago, where food was family, culture and community. Her medical training taught her to tell her community to stop eating those foods. She refused.
With over 20 years of clinical experience in obesity and metabolic health, Dr. Toussaintโs practice is based on her belief that Caribbean heritage is health. She shows audiences how to eat healthy while enjoying the foods they grew up with.
